Add Platforms

Follow the real platform connection flow from Accounts to platform selection, MT5 setup, server search, connection test, and final save.

Overview

Use this guide when you want to add a new broker or exchange connection to your workspace. The clearest walkthrough starts with MetaTrader 5 because it shows the full connection journey: open Accounts, add a new account, choose MT5, fill the form, search the server if needed, test the connection, and save only after the test succeeds.

Best place to start
Start with MetaTrader 5. It includes platform selection, server lookup, connection test, and save flow in one complete example.
Recommended access mode
Use your investor password when you want read-only access. Use your trading password only when full trading permissions are needed.

Full flow

Follow this exact sequence to add your platform correctly.

1
Open Accounts
Open Accounts from the left sidebar.
2
Click Account
Click the purple Account button in the Accounts toolbar.
3
Choose MetaTrader 5
Select MetaTrader 5 in the platform chooser, then click Connect.
4
Fill the MT5 form
Enter your account name, server, login number, password, and any optional broker label you want to keep for reference.
5
Search the server if needed
If you do not know the correct server yet, open the server search dialog and choose the right server name or IP:port.
6
Test first, then save
Click Test before Save. Save only after the connection succeeds.

Open Accounts

Start from the Accounts page. This is where your current connections are listed and where you begin adding a new one.

After you click Account, you are taken to the platform chooser. From there, you can select MetaTrader platforms or exchange-based connections such as Binance, Bybit, OKX, Apex, AsterDex, and Hyperliquid.

For the clearest onboarding path, start with MetaTrader 5.

Do not mix MT4 credentials with MT5.

Click Connect under MetaTrader 5. Use MT5 when your broker account is an MT5 account. If your broker account is MT4, choose MetaTrader 4 instead and do not mix the credentials.

Fill the MT5 form

Complete the main MT5 connection form carefully before you run the connection test.

Connect MetaTrader 5

Fill in your MT5 connection details carefully. Use your investor password if you want read-only monitoring, or your trading password if you need full trading actions.

Test and save

Testing is required before saving the platform connection.

Test before save
Always test the connection first. Save only after the platform confirms that the MT5 connection works.
Expected result after save
After a successful save, your new platform should appear in the Accounts page and become available for the related product flows.
Phone-friendly behavior
On smaller screens, cards and form rows should stack vertically. Long server values should wrap or scroll safely without breaking the layout.

Common mistakes

Review these before you try to connect your account.

Do not mix MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 credentials.
Do not click Save before the connection test succeeds.
Do not guess the server value. Search it if you are unsure.
Use the correct password type for the access mode you want.
If the test fails, review Server, Login, and Password first.
If you are on mobile, complete one field at a time and verify the full server value before testing.
